Really a ram, but sheep sounds better
Techniques used: graphite sketching, stippling
In my second semester of college, I briefly changed my major to a non-creative field, relegating my creativity to hobby status. In order to keep my skills sharp, I challenged myself to create a piece that would take as long of a time as possible. I ended up settling on this 14x17 stippled ram. The original goal was to finish it within the semester. That unfortunately did not happen. I adjusted to finishing it by the end of the summer. In hindsight, it was probably not the best decision to try to finish this piece the same summer I would be training to test for my black belt. I ended up passing the test, but the sheep remained unfinished. Finally, I told myself I had to finish it within the year. I held myself to it, and despite the setbacks the year threw at me, I finished it on New Year's eve.
